Kütahya Represented Türkiye with Success in Austria Through a Creative Erasmus+ Project

Young people from Kütahya proudly represented Türkiye in an international Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project held in Vienna, Austria between 22–29 March 2026.

The project, titled “Cartoon for Integration”, brought together participants from Austria, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Georgia, aiming to empower young people-especially those from migrant backgrounds—to express their experiences and challenges through creative cartoon production.

The Turkish team, coordinated by Synaos Think Tank Association, actively contributed to the project with their creativity, intercultural awareness, and strong teamwork. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in workshops on digital cartoon creation, storytelling, and social awareness, while also developing their communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.

Representing Kütahya, the participants Muhammet Eroğlu, Ahmet Küçükoğlu, Zeynep Yatarkalkmaz, Habibe Serdem Yatarkalkmaz,Burcu Doğa Çevik,Mert Köşe along with group leaders Safir Çubukçuoğlu, and Fatih Akyazgan, successfully showcased both their individual talents and their cultural identity.

The project not only contributed to the personal and professional development of the participants but also strengthened Kütahya’s visibility on the international stage. By using cartoons as a tool for dialogue, young people had the opportunity to raise awareness about migration, inclusion, and social challenges.

This meaningful participation once again highlighted the importance of youth projects in building bridges between cultures and empowering young people to become active and responsible members of society.
