SAMPLE CV AND MOTIVATION LETTER

From local roots to global wings

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my motivation to join the European Solidarity Corps program and to
briefly introduce myself.
My name is Muhammet Eroğlu, I am 20 years old from Konya, Turkey, and currently studying
International Relations at Kocaeli University. Growing up in a family where traditional values
and modern perspectives coexisted has given me a strong awareness of cultural heritage
and social responsibility. These values, combined with my academic interests, shaped my
desire to contribute to society and to strengthen cultural understanding between people.
During high school, I initiated a project called the “Ivriz Generation” electronic magazine to
preserve the cultural legacy of our school, which was historically rooted in the Village
Institutes. With a team of 22 students, we created articles, photos, and drawings to keep this
heritage alive for future generations. This project was my first experience in teamwork,
leadership, and cultural preservation, and it reinforced my belief in the importance of
protecting values while building the future.
Alongside my studies, I have been working in technology-related fields such as software
development, graphic design, and video editing. These experiences not only improved my
technical skills but also taught me teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in diverse
environments. I believe these skills can be valuable in supporting ESC projects that combine
innovation with social benefit.
My main motivation for joining the European Solidarity Corps is to experience solidarity and
cultural diversity firsthand. I want to:
● Work with people from different cultures and develop intercultural communication
skills,
● Contribute my technology and project management skills to community-based
initiatives,
● Learn about Europe’s democratic and social values while sharing my own culture,
● Improve my language abilities and broaden my global perspective.
I believe I can contribute to the program with my technical background, teamwork
experience, and sensitivity to cultural and social issues. In return, I hope to gain valuable
experience that will help me grow as a socially responsible and globally minded individual.
My long term goal is to work on international cooperation and peace related issues. I see the
ESC program as a meaningful step in this journey, because I believe that real understanding
between societies can only be achieved through direct experience and solidarity.
Thank you for considering my application

Sincerely,
Muhammet Eroğlu
