{"id":642,"date":"2025-08-21T18:51:05","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T18:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.synaosfikirkulubu.org\/?p=642"},"modified":"2025-08-27T09:12:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T09:12:07","slug":"folk-dance-fiesta-final-day-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.synaosfikirkulubu.org\/?p=642","title":{"rendered":"Folk Dance Fiesta \u2013 Final Day (Part 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When the energy of the \u201cDamat Halay\u0131\u201d swept through Germiyan Street, the entire area turned into a dance floor, and the rhythm united everyone.<br>But we had skipped a very important detail in Part 1:<br>Mr. Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m Akg\u00fcl, the Director of Culture and Social Affairs at the Municipality, had told us&nbsp;<em>off the record<\/em>&nbsp;that he planned to gift three ba\u011flamas (traditional Turkish string instruments) to the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our initial plan was to present these to the group leaders.<br>However, learning that Dominika was a musician changed everything \u2014 giving a ba\u011flama to her made more sense than sticking to protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We first gifted a ba\u011flama to Viktoria, the Hungarian team leader. Then, one was given to Dominika.<br>At that point, no ba\u011flama was left for the Slovak team \u2014 which would\u2019ve been unfair.<br>So, we resolved the issue during the Turkish Night by presenting a ba\u011flama to Filip, the Slovak team leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, back to the wonderful day:<br>With two VIP minibuses provided by the K\u00fctahya Municipality, we set out for&nbsp;<strong>Aizanoi Ancient City<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 a place I believe everyone should see at least once.<br>The site instantly captivated our participants.<br>The&nbsp;<strong>best-preserved Temple of Zeus in the world<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Medusa relief<\/strong>&nbsp;were the most photographed spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we traditionally do at the end of our projects, we gathered for group photos in front of the Medusa \u2014 the symbolic closing location of our journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon returning to the hotel, we found the Turkish Night venue already prepared by the Municipality\u2019s City Council Project Team.<br>Although our Mayor could not attend due to last-minute obligations, he was represented by Deputy Mayor Mr. Ha\u015fim Ertekin, along with Mr. B\u00fclent Cebeci (City Council President) and Mr. Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m Akg\u00fcl (Director of Culture and Social Affairs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a brilliant presentation on T\u00fcrkiye and K\u00fctahya, our folk dance groups took the stage.<br>Following tastings of traditional Turkish delicacies, we moved on to the&nbsp;<strong>Youthpass Ceremony<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Youthpasses were presented as follows:<br>Slovakia \u2013 Mr. Ertekin<br>Romania \u2013 Mr. Cebeci<br>Hungary \u2013 Mr. Akg\u00fcl<br>Turkey \u2013 Assoc. Do\u00e7.
